Job Summary
Provide full-scope pediatric primary care including diagnosis, treatment, and preventative care for a complex population. Obtain health histories, perform physical exams, and prescribe medication per Florida statutes. Conduct minor surgeries, review lab and imaging reports, and manage follow-ups. Coordinate care transitions with hospital services and oversee mid-level providers. Participate in quality assurance, utilization review, and interdisciplinary meetings. Maintain accurate medical records and coding. Cover after-hours on-call rotations and fulfill emergency duties as required.

- Maintain a close liaison with the PCP of Hospital Services
- Coordinate the transition of care from Clinic to hospital and back to Clinic
- Participate in after-hours on-call patient phone calls coverage on rotating basis
- Identify and evaluate problems, complaints, and symptoms as reported and presented by patients, by patient families, or by staff about the patients
- Plan and conduct health education for patients, families and facility staff
- Participate in the facility's quality assurance/quality monitoring program
- Participate in the patients' plan of care
- Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings
- Participate in committee meetings
- Participate in rehabilitation meetings when necessary
- Discuss findings as needed with attending physician, consulting staff, and medical service providers
- Review the results of tests and procedures
- Make notations and changes in patients' plans or orders according to the protocols established mutually between the ARNP and the supervising physician
- Perform mental status exams
- Continually monitor the health care services provided
- Change orders as necessary to meet the individual patient needs according to protocols
- Interact with patients' family members, as needed
- Emergency duty
- Working in Red Cross shelters
- Perform other emergency duties including, but not limited to, responses to threats or disasters, man-made or natural
- Perform emergency response and management duties for Palm Beach County as required
