Job Summary

Provide full-scope pediatric primary care including diagnosis, treatment, and preventative care for a complex population. Obtain health histories, perform physical exams, and prescribe medication per Florida statutes. Conduct minor surgeries, review lab and imaging reports, and manage follow-ups. Coordinate care transitions with hospital services and oversee mid-level providers. Participate in quality assurance, utilization review, and interdisciplinary meetings. Maintain accurate medical records and coding. Cover after-hours on-call rotations and fulfill emergency duties as required.

  • Maintain a close liaison with the PCP of Hospital Services
  • Coordinate the transition of care from Clinic to hospital and back to Clinic
  • Participate in after-hours on-call patient phone calls coverage on rotating basis
  • Identify and evaluate problems, complaints, and symptoms as reported and presented by patients, by patient families, or by staff about the patients
  • Plan and conduct health education for patients, families and facility staff
  • Participate in the facility's quality assurance/quality monitoring program
  • Participate in the patients' plan of care
  • Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings
  • Participate in committee meetings
  • Participate in rehabilitation meetings when necessary
  • Discuss findings as needed with attending physician, consulting staff, and medical service providers
  • Review the results of tests and procedures
  • Make notations and changes in patients' plans or orders according to the protocols established mutually between the ARNP and the supervising physician
  • Perform mental status exams
  • Continually monitor the health care services provided
  • Change orders as necessary to meet the individual patient needs according to protocols
  • Interact with patients' family members, as needed
  • Emergency duty
  • Working in Red Cross shelters
  • Perform other emergency duties including, but not limited to, responses to threats or disasters, man-made or natural
  • Perform emergency response and management duties for Palm Beach County as required
