Job Summary
Conduct thorough physical examinations, medical histories, and diagnostic evaluations for pediatric patients across all age groups. Diagnose, treat, and manage acute and chronic conditions including respiratory infections, gastrointestinal disorders, and developmental delays. Develop individualized treatment plans, monitor patient progress, and provide preventive care services such as immunizations and nutritional counseling. Manage inpatient and outpatient cases, respond to emergency pediatric cases with life-saving interventions, and assist in surgical procedures under supervision. Maintain accurate medical records and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure holistic patient care. Participate in clinical audits and quality improvement initiatives while staying current with advancements in pediatric medicine through continuous professional development.
Required Qualifications
- MBBS degree with a postgraduate qualification in Pediatrics (MD/DM in Pediatrics or equivalent recognized by the National Medical Commission)
- Valid and active registration with the Medical Council of India (or equivalent state medical council)
- Minimum of 4–5 years of hands-on clinical experience in a hospital or pediatric specialty setting
- Proven experience in managing inpatient and outpatient pediatric cases, including emergency and critical care
- Demonstrated proficiency in pediatric diagnostics, treatment protocols, and preventive healthcare strategies
- Strong understanding of pediatric pharmacology, growth and development milestones, and developmental screening tools
- Experience in assisting in pediatric surgeries and medical procedures (e.g., lumbar punctures, intubations, central line placements)
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build trust with children and families
- Ability to work effectively under pressure in fast-paced, high-stakes environments
- Commitment to ethical practice, patient confidentiality, and continuous learning
- Proficiency in electronic medical records (EMR) systems and digital health tools
