Job Summary
Board-certified or board-eligible, fellowship-trained Pediatric Urologist sought to help define and build a regional academic pediatric urology program in Southwest Virginia. The role encompasses clinical service development, education and curriculum development, mentorship, and scholarly activity, with opportunities to lead research initiatives aligned with clinical or academic interests. The position includes academic appointments through VTCSOM, collaboration with a dedicated pediatric team and multiple sites, and participation in the growth of pediatric education and a future pediatric urology residency. The Roanoke, Virginia location offers an integrated academic health system environment, access to advanced robotic platforms (Da Vinci Xi and SP) and a broad pediatric surgical footprint, including a Level I Trauma Center, NICU and PICU, with potential for expanding regional reach and referral networks.
Required Qualifications
- Board-certified or board-eligible in Pediatric Urology
- Fellowship-trained in Pediatric Urology
- Academic appointment at Virginia Tech Carilion School of Medicine
- Ability to contribute to education, curriculum development, mentorship, and scholarly activity
- Capability to build and lead clinical services and research within an academic health system
