Job Summary
Advanced Practice Provider (FNP/PNP) for a pediatric urgent care network. Responsible for evaluating and treating pediatric patients in urgent care settings, including in-person and telemedicine visits, with a focus on acute injuries and illnesses such as febrile infants/children, ENT infections, abdominal pain, anaphylaxis, respiratory distress, croup, and asthma. Performs common urgent care procedures (abscess drainage, foreign body removal, laceration repair with sutures/staples/dermal adhesive) and provides preliminary radiograph interpretation with radiologist over-reads in applicable states. Oversees daily operations and patient flow, collaborates with on-site and telemedicine teams, ensures adherence to policies, maintains patient confidentiality per HIPAA, and participates in ongoing training and continuing education. Emphasizes efficiency, antibiotic stewardship, patient experience, safety, quality standards, and compliance with legal regulations.
Required Qualifications
- Pediatric experience required; Pediatric ER, General Pediatrics, or Urgent Care Experience preferred
- Active ANCC Board Certification or NCCPA Certification
- Active RN (if applicable) and NP/PA state license for each state where treating patients
- Master of Science in Nursing or Doctoral degree in Nursing or Master of Physician Assistant Studies required
- Minimum 2 years of independent pediatric clinical experience as an APP (outside of rotations) or at least 1 year in urgent care or emergency medicine
