Job Summary
Pediatric Transplant Hepatologist to join the Department of Pediatrics at UW–Madison. The role involves providing clinical service to pediatric liver transplant and pediatric liver and GI patients (clinic and inpatient), pre-op and post-op care for liver transplant patients, and engaging in teaching of fellows, residents, and medical students. The position supports the division’s teaching and clinical research missions, and may include administrative and committee work. Collaboration with other faculty members and carrying out independent research/scholarly activity (CHS Track) are expected. The department emphasizes a strong clinical and scholarly mission, with care settings at UW Health Kids and American Family Children’s Hospital, across multiple sites in the region. The appointment may be at Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, Professor, Clinical Assistant Professor, Clinical Associate Professor, Clinical Professor, Visiting Associate Professor, or Visiting Professor depending on experience and qualifications.
Required Qualifications
- Board certification or board eligibility in Pediatric Transplant Hepatology (Certificate of Added Qualification) from the American Board of Pediatrics is required by the appointment start date.
- Completion of an accredited fellowship program in Pediatric Gastroenterology and Pediatric Transplant Hepatology is required by the appointment start date.
- Completion of an ACGME-approved pediatric residency program is required by the start date of the position.
- WI Medical license by start date of position.
- Board-certified or board eligible in Pediatrics by start date of position.
- Completion of a US ACGME-approved pediatric residency program by the start date of the position.
- Must be eligible for enrollment as a billing provider and for all necessary hospital privileges, by the start date of the position.
- Education: MD, DO, or equivalent is required
