PEDIATRIC SPEECH LANGUAGE PATHOLOGIST

Job Summary
Conduct comprehensive evaluations, re-evaluations, and treatments for pediatric patients with communication disorders within a hospital-based outpatient setting. Establish realistic, measurable goals in collaboration with patients and families, then develop and implement evidence-based plans of care including discharge criteria and home exercise programs. Direct licensed and non-licensed staff, manage documentation and billing accurately, and maintain infection control and patient safety standards. Provide ongoing patient education and discharge patients when skilled therapy is no longer appropriate. Maintain an active Massachusetts license and Certificate of Clinical Competency, attend in-services and conferences for professional development, and demonstrate flexibility in meeting department scheduling needs.
Required Qualifications
- MS in Speech Language Pathology from accredited school
- SLP - Speech Language Pathologist
- Maintain active license to practice Speech Therapy in Massachusetts
- Maintain active Certificate of Clinical Competency in Speech-Language Pathology in Massachusetts
