Job Summary

Implement early intervention home-based speech therapy services for patients birth to age 3 in Allegheny and Butler Counties, adhering to the Individualized Family Service Plan. Conduct evaluations, treatment planning, implementation, consultation, documentation, and discharge planning while collaborating with medical teams on adaptive feeding equipment and augmentative communication devices. Schedule early intervention patients on evenings and weekends as needed, ensuring eight hours of daily service with moderate physical activity and travel to clients. Maintain electronic documentation within specific timeframes and participate in mandatory staff meetings and clinical education of students.

Required Qualifications

  • Must have the flexibility to schedule early intervention patients on evenings and weekends as needed
  • Candidates must live in the Pittsburgh or surrounding areas
  • Graduate of an accredited Speech Language Pathology program
  • 3-5 years of experience with the pediatric population
  • Maintains current Speech Language Pathology License in the State of Pennsylvania
  • Must have working knowledge of computers to complete documentation electronically and in a timely manner
  • Must be able to push, pull, lift, and carry up to 50 pounds independently
  • Ability to operate a motor vehicle and/or access other means of transportation in order to travel locally for business related to The Children's Home
  • Displays strong decision making and problem-solving skills
  • Demonstrates professional behaviors
