Job Summary
Conduct comprehensive Speech Therapy evaluations using standardized tests to determine patient needs. Develop and implement treatment plans aligned with physicians' orders while creating home exercise programs in partnership with caregivers. Coordinate care across various providers and disciplines as a vital member of the patients' medical neighborhoods. Complete a minimum number of weekly patient visits and meet deadlines for chart updates, progress summaries, and call logs. Perform all duties in compliance with agency policies, federal, state, and local laws applicable to home-health pediatric speech language pathology. Maintain understanding of expectations and standards through regular meetings with agency personnel.
Required Qualifications
- current/active license to practice Speech Language Pathology in the state of Texas
- An innovative spirit complemented by a demonstrated history of reliability
- Flexibility to shift resources and priorities as necessary, based on the needs of the business
- Ability to use common workplace technology (laptop computer, phone, email, web browser)
Desired Qualifications
- 3+ years as a pediatric Speech Language Pathologist
- Experience in a home-health setting
- Experience or certifications in feeding therapy or other clinical specialties (VitalStim, SOFFI, SOS, etc.)
- Bilingual (English/Spanish)
