Pediatric Speech-Language Pathologist - PRN SLP

Job Summary

Conduct pediatric speech evaluations and develop individualized treatment plans, regularly re-assessing effectiveness and providing discharge evaluations with home safety recommendations. Communicate patient progress and needs to the treatment team, physicians, and families while collaborating with other disciplines to coordinate care and enhance outcomes. Participate in staffing meetings and family conferences, and provide referral and education resources as required. Support vacation coverage, sick days, and occasional shifts to maintain seamless patient care. Requires a Master's degree, state license, and one year of experience. Hourly rate $50-$60.

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum of a Master's Degree from an accredited Speech Language Pathology program
  • Valid Speech Language Pathology license in the state(s) of practice
  • Current CPR Certification in accordance with state regulations
  • A minimum of one year's work experience as a Speech Language Pathologist
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds
  • Moving, lifting, or transferring of patients which may involve lifting of up to 100 pounds following safety procedures
  • Duties require fine motor skills, visual acuity, and walking/standing for extended periods
  • Additional physical requirements include: pushing/pulling, bending/stooping, reaching, kneeling, and positioning frequently at times

Desired Qualifications

  • Demonstrates knowledge of rehabilitation techniques related to complex neurological injury preferred
