Job Summary
Perform comprehensive Speech Therapy evaluations using standardized tests to determine patients' needs, then develop and implement treatment plans aligned with physicians' orders. Create home exercise programs in partnership with caregivers and coordinate care between various providers to act as a vital member of patients' medical neighborhoods. Complete a minimum number of weekly patient visits while meeting deadlines for chart updates, progress summaries, and call logs. Adhere to all agency policies, federal, state, and local laws governing home-health pediatric speech language pathology. Requires an active Texas license, reliability, and flexibility to shift priorities; part-time schedule with mileage reimbursement, laptop, and continuing education access.
Required Qualifications
- current/active license to practice Speech Language Pathology in the state of Texas
- An innovative spirit complemented by a demonstrated history of reliability
- Flexibility to shift resources and priorities as necessary, based on the needs of the business
- Ability to use common workplace technology (laptop computer, phone, email, web browser)
Desired Qualifications
- 3+ years as a pediatric Speech Language Pathologist
- Experience in a home-health setting
- Experience or certifications in feeding therapy or other clinical specialties (VitalStim, SOFFI, SOS, etc.)
- Bilingual (English/Spanish)
