Job Summary
Evaluate, treat, and care for pediatric patients with breathing or cardiopulmonary disorders. Plan, implement, and evaluate plans of care while providing individualized patient and family education. Demonstrate use of the ISTAT blood analysis system and recognize obvious patient and family health care needs. Work full-time night shifts (36 hours/week) across any site as needed, lifting equipment and patients over 15 pounds. Serve as a role model to Respiratory students and new employees within an interdisciplinary team structure.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of a Joint Review Committee for Respiratory Therapy Education approved program of Respiratory Care
- Registered Respiratory Therapist from the National Board of Respiratory Care
- NJ State Respiratory License
- AHA BLS Provider Certification
- Must be able to work at any site when needed
- Able to lift and carry equipment and patients greater than 15 pounds or greater
- Potential for blood and body fluid splashes and exposures
- On feet most of the day; bending, walking, manual dexterity, pushing, pulling
