Job Summary
Evaluate, treat, and care for pediatric patients with breathing or cardiopulmonary disorders by planning, implementing, and evaluating individualized plans of care. Recognize and address patient and family health care needs while delivering appropriate education within hospital policies. Demonstrate competency with the ISTAT blood analysis system and maintain cultural sensitivity in all interactions. Work a part-time day shift of 24 hours per week, rotating as needed across any site, while lifting equipment and patients over 15 pounds. Serve as a role model for Respiratory Therapy students and new employees within the interdisciplinary team structure.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of a Joint Review Committee for Respiratory Therapy Education approved program of Respiratory Care
- Registered Respiratory Therapist from the National Board of Respiratory Care
- NJ State Respiratory License
- AHA BLS Provider Certification
- Must be able to work at any site when needed
- Able to lift and carry equipment and patients greater than 15 pounds or greater
