Job Summary
Deliver tailored, developmentally appropriate physical therapy services to infants, toddlers, and children facing neuromuscular disorders, orthopedic concerns, genetic syndromes, and developmental delays. Conduct comprehensive evaluations, develop individualized care plans, and track patient progress to achieve functional goals. Incorporate creative play-based interventions utilizing toys and games to motivate children. Collaborate with families and interdisciplinary teams to provide education on therapy techniques and home exercises. Maintain clear documentation of patient interactions using the Electronic Medical Record system. Participate in team meetings and continuing education workshops. Work Monday through Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM.
Required Qualifications
- A Doctorate or Master's degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution.
- A valid Physical Therapist license (or eligibility) to practice in California.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to effectively engage with parents and caregivers, fostering an atmosphere of trust and collaboration.
- Creativity and playfulness to connect with children in therapeutic settings and an openness to explore different environments during sessions.
- Must be available for Monday to Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM
- Preference for bilingual (Spanish) candidates
Desired Qualifications
- Prior experience in pediatric physical therapy
- Completed clinical rotations in pediatric settings
- Skills in bilingual communication, particularly in Spanish
