Job Summary
Provide pediatric nursing care in an urgent care setting under physician supervision, including clinical and administrative support for providers, patients, and office operations. Responsibilities include obtaining medical history and vitals, performing procedures (venipuncture, IV insertion, urinary straight catheterization), administering medications (oral, rectal, IM, IV), assisting the physician with patient care, maintaining HIPAA-compliant patient information, supporting lab quality control, assisting with x-ray processes, stocking exam rooms, ensuring patient comfort, and contributing to efficient patient flow and service recovery. Requires pediatric nursing experience, active RN license (or compact state license), BLS, and knowledge of pediatric pharmacology and healthcare processes.
Required Qualifications
- Active state nursing license or active compact state licensure
- Pediatric experience is required; Pediatric ER, Pediatric hospital unit, or Pediatrics Urgent Care Experience preferred
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) is required, Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) recommended
