Pediatric Registered Dietitian II (Per Diem)

Job Summary
Provide basic nutritional care to patients on assigned inpatient units by evaluating medical, biochemical, and nutritional information to assess patient needs. Develop and implement appropriate nutrition care plans while assisting in supervising the daily work of dietetic technicians. This per diem position is scheduled on an as-needed basis, with preferred candidates available for approximately 2–3 shifts per week. The role participates in a weekend rotation, typically averaging 6–8 weekends per year, and includes a training period of approximately 3 months requiring 3–5 days per week of availability. Candidates must hold a Bachelor's degree in Nutrition & Dietetics, 3+ years of progressive experience including 2 years in pediatric nutrition, and be registered and licensed as a Dietitian in Massachusetts.
Required Qualifications
- A Bachelor's degree in Nutrition & Dietetics
- 3+ years of progressive experience in Dietetics
- at least 2 years in pediatric nutrition
- Registration by Commission on Dietetic Registration, the Credentialing agency of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics, as a Registered Dietitian
- Licensure by the Commonwealth of Massachusetts as a licensed Dietitian
- availability to work approximately 2–3 shifts per week
- The role participates in a weekend rotation, typically averaging 6–8 weekends per year
- At minimum, 3 days per week of availability is required during the training period
