Job Summary
Assess and evaluate therapeutic, rehabilitative, and functional status for pediatric patients, including muscle strength, mobility, gait, and range of motion. Develop and direct individual treatment plans to restore function, improve mobility, and decrease pain, while regularly re-evaluating progress and revising care as necessary. Collaborate with physicians and team members to implement the total plan of care, instruct personnel on therapeutic appliances, and maintain accurate clinical documentation submitted weekly per agency guidelines. Provide continuous care to caregivers and families while adhering to all MGA policies, procedures, and professional standards.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's, Master's, or Doctorate degree from an accredited therapy program
- Professional experience required per state regulations
- Current License and in good standing with State's Licensing Board
- Current CPR certification per state regulations
- Successful completion of appropriate screening tests with a passing rate
- Displays good observation skills and judgement as well as good oral and written communication skills
- Reliable transportation
- Ability to regularly, sit, stand, stop, bend, kneel, walk, balance, crouch, crawl, push, pull and reach with hands and arms and other physical activities as deemed necessary by job duties
- Vision and Hearing capabilities within normal limits, with or without aid
- Ability to frequently lift and or move up to 15 pounds and occasionally lift or move 100 pounds or more if applicable
- Ability to perform the anticipated level of physical assist required to provide safe client care
- Ability to travel frequently to complete home health visits
