Pediatric Physical Therapist

Job Summary
Evaluate, administer remedial treatments, and conduct screenings for pediatric patients within home health settings. Direct patients and caregivers in selected tasks to restore or enhance performance while providing family training on home programming and discharge planning. Coordinate care with office staff and physicians, maintain appropriate records, and refer families to appropriate resources. Participate in Quality Assurance and Performance Improvement programs, mentor students and new hires, and serve as a backup service provider for other caseloads. Maintain adequate caseloads, manage supplies and equipment, and engage in professional development activities. Requires a Master's degree in Physical Therapy, current state licensure, and valid driver's license.
Required Qualifications
- Master's Degree in Physical Therapy
- Current state-issued professional license
- Valid state driver's license
- CPR certification
- Pediatric clinical experience
- Home health experience
- Ability to read and write in simple correspondence
- Effective public speaking in small groups
- Excellent critical thinking skills
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
- Ability to interpret instruction with the ability to solve practical problems with a variety of concrete variables
- Proficient computer skills to include Microsoft Office Suite, record keeping and routine database activity
- Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
- Must be able to lift a minimum of twenty-five pounds
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision requirements
