Job Summary

Conduct evaluations and therapy for developmentally disabled patients birth to 21 across inpatient, outpatient, and intensive therapy settings. Perform initial and ongoing assessments, establish treatment plans, and administer interventions while observing patient response and adjusting techniques as needed. Document services in accordance with APTA Guidelines, prepare reports, and educate patients and families on discharge plans and home programs. Supervise Physical Therapist Assistants, aides, and student interns by delegating tasks and providing feedback. Coordinate care with other health care team members and outside providers. Organize work schedules to meet productivity standards and participate in departmental meetings. Maintain current licensure, complete continuing education, and adhere to professional ethics and practice standards.

Required Qualifications

  • current physical therapy licensure
  • CPR certification
  • any other certifications deemed necessary and appropriate by therapist and supervisor
  • maintain current physical therapy licensure, including requirements for continuing education
  • annual allowance provided for continuing education
