Job Summary
Conduct thorough assessments of children with severe medical disabilities to identify physical therapy needs and develop individualized treatment plans. Provide treatment for 10-12 patients daily, addressing mobility, strength, and independence for ages 0-21. Collaborate with physiatrists and a multidisciplinary team to coordinate care and refine approaches using evidence-based practices. Educate families on therapeutic techniques and document progress in compliance with regulatory standards. Maintain a New York State license and participate in case conferences and continuing education. Hourly rate ranges from $43.59 to $48.72.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree and/or Master's/or Doctorate in Physical Therapy
- Valid New York State license to practice physical therapy
- Valid NPI Number
- Experience working with pediatric patients, especially those with severe disabilities and complex medical conditions
