Job Summary
Provide perfusion coverage for open heart procedures, standby for all closed heart procedures, and standby for the Cardiac Cath Lab; available for ECMO start-up and troubleshooting and Cardiopulmonary support; assist in data submission for equipment budgeting; administer medications per policy; complete perfusion records and pre-bypass checklists; train students, staff, and peers; coordinate care with physicians and staff; maintain perfusion equipment and supplies; handoff continuity of care and safety; collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team and uphold family-centered care; adhere to medication administration policies and monitor patient vitals and hemodynamics; sign-on bonus available for qualified candidates; EOE DFW.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in perfusion science or equivalent
- CPR BLS (American Heart Association)
- Active in good standing BLS
- Eligible to sit for national boards or actively pursuing CCP
