Job Summary
Provide perfusion coverage for all open heart procedures, standby for closed heart procedures and Cardiac Cath Lab operations, and ECMO start-up/troubleshooting. Role includes data submission for departmental budgeting, medication administration per policy, patient assessment and documentation on perfusion records, training of students and staff, coordination with physicians and support staff, maintaining perfusion equipment and supplies, handoffs to ensure continuity of care, and contributing to a Family Centered Care environment. Requires perfusion expertise, ability to collaborate across disciplines, and adherence to medication safety and hemodynamic targets. Sign-on bonus available for qualified candidates.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in perfusion technology or equivalent
- CPR BLS -American Heart Association BLS
- Eligible to sit for national boards or actively pursuing certification (CCP)
- Minimum 2 years perfusion experience (preferred)
- Ability to work in team based environment
- Strong communication and confidentiality
- Ability to manage stress and ensure safety during procedures
