Job Summary
Pediatric PA sought to support newborn and high‐risk neonates in the Special Care Nursery and Newborn Nursery. Responsibilities include attending high-risk deliveries, admitting/managing infants in SCN, covering well babies in Well Baby Nursery, and participating in Pediatric Codes and trauma responses in the Emergency Department. Requires competencies in intubation, umbilical artery/vein catheterization, IV placement, lumbar punctures, and urinary catheterization in a high-acuity, academic-affiliated neonatal setting. Located at Waterbury Hospital/UConn Health in Waterbury, CT (with affiliation details provided).
Required Qualifications
- Pediatric Physician Assistant (PA) with NICU experience
- Intubation
- Umbilical artery and vein catheterization
- IV placement
- Lumbar punctures
- Urinary catheterization
- Ability to attend high-risk deliveries and manage infants in SCN and Well Baby Nursery
- Participate in Pediatric Codes and trauma responses in the Emergency Department
