Pediatric PA - Special Care Nursery & Newborn Nursery

Pediatric Physician Assistant opportunity in the Special Care Nursery (SCN) and Newborn Nursery at Waterbury Hospital/UConn Health. Role supports high-acuity neonatal care with 24/7 coverage in an academic-affiliated setting. Primary duties include attending high-risk deliveries, admitting and managing infants in the SCN through rounds and procedures, providing coverage for Well Baby Nursery admissions and daily notes, and participating in Pediatric Codes and trauma responses in the Emergency Department. Key skills include intubation, umbilical artery/vein catheterization, IV placement, lumbar punctures, and urinary catheterization. Excellent collaboration with neonatology attendings and a strong team environment are emphasized.
