Job Summary
Pediatric Optometrist sought to join Mary Bridge Ophthalmology Clinic in a brand-new pediatric hospital setting. Responsibilities include evaluating patients for optometry conditions, conducting physical exams, ordering imaging and other diagnostic studies, interpreting lab/test results, guiding families through treatment options, educating patients on disease processes and treatment plans, collaborating with physicians, nursing, and a multidisciplinary team, managing treatment and medication management, staying current on advancements, and participating in specialized clinics. Requires OD degree, ACOE accreditation, and active Washington state optometry license; BLS certification required. Two years of pediatric optometry experience preferred. Required Qualifications
- Professional optometric degree program leading to an OD (Doctor of Optometry)
- unrestricted Washington state license to practice optometry
- Current BLS for Healthcare Providers certification by the American Heart Association
- Program accredited by the Accreditation Council on Optometric Education (ACOE)
