Job Summary

Conduct basic patient assessments including visual acuity tests, intraocular pressure measurements, and dilation. Perform testing such as confrontation visual fields, cover testing, and versions, while assisting in manifest refractions. Greet patients, explain procedures, and provide education, then utilize the EMR system to accurately record patient data. Work closely with the clinical support team to ensure smooth patient flow and maintain a safe environment by addressing common hazards. Maintain high typing proficiency and organizational skills to manage multiple tasks effectively. This role supports our 50-year history of delivering comprehensive eye care services across the Atlanta area.

Required Qualifications

  • High school diploma
  • 1-2 years of experience in a healthcare environment
  • Knowledge of diagnostic codes

  • Some college or a degree
  • Certification as a COA or COT
