Job Summary
Conduct comprehensive patient assessments prior to and during chemotherapy appointments in Kaiser Permanente clinical oncology departments to identify essential information for provider visits. Provide ongoing assessments throughout the patient visit course. Requires one year of pediatric oncology experience including chemotherapy administration, a current RN license in Maryland, Virginia, or DC within six months of hire, and Pediatric Chemotherapy & Biotherapy Provider Certification within 12 months. Schedule varies by week (Tues/Thurs or Wed/Thurs/Fri). BSN and Pediatric Hematology Oncology Nurse Certificate preferred.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum one (1) year of current Pediatric Oncology experience including chemotherapy administration
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program
- Registered Nurse License (Maryland) within 6 months of hire
- Registered Nurse License (Virginia) within 6 months of hire
- Compact License: Registered Nurse within 6 months of hire
- Registered Nurse License (District of Columbia) within 6 months of hire
- Pediatric Chemotherapy & Biotherapy Provider Certification within 12 months of hire
- Basic Life Support required at hire from American Heart Association
Desired Qualifications
- Pediatric Hematology Oncology Nurse Certificate preferred
- BSN preferred
