Job Summary
Conduct comprehensive Occupational Therapy evaluations using standardized tests to determine patient needs. Develop and implement treatment plans aligned with physicians' orders, creating home exercise programs in partnership with caregivers. Collaborate with various providers to coordinate care within the medical neighborhood. Complete a minimum number of weekly patient visits and meet deadlines for chart updates, progress summaries, and call logs. Adhere to all agency policies, federal, state, and local laws governing home-health pediatric occupational therapy. Maintain understanding of expectations through regular meetings with agency personnel. This role serves families in South Austin, Texas, offering bilingual support opportunities and access to continuing education.
Required Qualifications
- current/active license to practice Occupational Therapy in the state of Texas
- Ability to use common workplace technology (laptop computer, phone, email, web browser)
- 3+ years as a pediatric Occupational Therapist
- Experience in a home-health setting
- Experience or certifications in feeding therapy or other clinical specialties (high-risk infant, etc.)
- Bilingual (English/Spanish)
