Job Summary
Develop and implement individualized treatment plans for children with medically complex needs, providing direct occupational therapy services in the home setting. Support skill development in fine motor, sensory processing, feeding, and self-care routines while monitoring progress and adjusting plans to ensure functional independence. Recommend adaptive equipment and train families on proper use, partnering closely with caregivers to support carryover between visits. Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to provide coordinated, child-centered care and maintain accurate documentation including evaluations and progress reports. This part-time role offers flexible scheduling across the DFW area for an OT seeking meaningful impact without a traditional clinic schedule.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Occupational Therapy
- Active Occupational Therapy license in Texas
Desired Qualifications
- One year of experience preferred
- Pediatric experience preferred, but not required
- Home health experience is a plus
- Strong communication skills and the ability to build trust with children and families
