Job Summary
Perform comprehensive Occupational Therapy evaluations using standardized tests and develop treatment plans aligned with physicians' orders. Create home exercise programs in partnership with caregivers while collaborating with various providers to coordinate patient care. Complete a minimum weekly number of patient visits and meet deadlines for chart updates, progress summaries, and call logs. Adhere to all agency policies, federal, state, and local laws governing home-health pediatric occupational therapy. Maintain understanding of expectations through regular meetings with agency personnel. This role serves families in the Meyerland/Brays Oaks/Sharpstown areas of Houston, TX, with an active caseload and sign-on bonus available for full-time and part-time employees.
Required Qualifications
- current/active license to practice Occupational Therapy in the state of Texas
- An innovative spirit complemented by a demonstrated history of reliability
- Flexibility to shift resources and priorities as necessary, based on the needs of the business
- Ability to use common workplace technology (laptop computer, phone, email, web browser)
Desired Qualifications
- 3+ years as a pediatric Occupational Therapist
- Experience in a home-health setting
- Experience or certifications in feeding therapy or other clinical specialties (high-risk infant, etc.)
- Bilingual (English/Spanish)
