Job Summary
Provide individualized pediatric occupational therapy in the home setting, evaluating children to develop care plans and implementing treatments focused on fine motor skills, sensory processing, coordination, and functional independence. Address adaptive equipment needs and environmental modifications while educating parents to maximize carryover between visits. Collaborate with caregivers, physicians, and other team members to support meaningful progress, ensuring accurate clinical documentation and monitoring adjustments to care plans as permitted by scope of practice. Build relationships with families throughout their care journey to help children thrive in their natural environments.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy program
- Current Texas Occupational Therapist license
- Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program
- Current Texas Occupational Therapy Assistant license
- Ability to provide treatment under the supervision and direction of a licensed Occupational Therapist
- Current CPR certification or willingness to obtain it
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
- Ability to travel within an assigned service area
