Job Summary
Pediatric Obesity Specialist providing virtual pediatric care for ages 5-17 within a multi-disciplinary clinical team. Responsibilities include conducting 60-minute virtual intake for obesity/overweight, developing individualized treatment plans, medication management (including GLP-1s and other anti-obesity medications), ordering/interpreting labs, leading the 'Positive Parenting for Healthy Weight' Shared Medical Appointment groups, collaborating with behavioral health and nursing staff, and conducting 30-minute medical follow-ups. Requires CA medical license with active DEA, board certification in Pediatrics (obesity medicine certification preferred), and at least 5 years of patient care experience. Emphasizes lifestyle medicine, nutrition coaching, technology-enabled telemedicine, and culturally responsive care in a startup-wide care model; remote-first environment with opportunities for professional development.
Required Qualifications
- Licensed to practice medicine in California with active DEA registration
- Board certified in Pediatrics
- Board certification in Obesity Medicine preferred
- At least 5 years of patient care experience
