Job Summary
Pediatric Nursing Clinical Instructor to supervise and evaluate nursing students during pediatric clinical rotations across inpatient units and pediatric clinics. Responsibilities include supervising, mentoring, and evaluating students; teaching best practices in pediatric nursing, growth and development assessment, family-centered care, and age-appropriate communication; ensuring compliance with pediatric safety standards and site policies; providing timely feedback and documenting performance; collaborating with academic leadership to implement and evaluate pediatric clinical curriculum, including simulation and skills check-offs; serving as a liaison among ICHS, clinical sites, and students; maintaining professional communication and fulfilling administrative duties such as attendance and evaluations. Requires an active Florida RN license, BSN, and a minimum of 4 years RN experience with at least 2 years in pediatric nursing; on-site role based in Davie, FL with evening/night schedules; must reside within commuting distance. Flexible evening hours required.
Required Qualifications
- Unencumbered Florida or Compact State RN License
- Minimum 4 years clinical RN experience with at least 2 years pediatric nursing experience preferred
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from an accredited school
- Experience in clinical instruction, preceptorship, or nursing education preferred
- Strong clinical knowledge in pediatric nursing and communication skills
- Proficiency with electronic documentation and Microsoft Office Suite
- Ability to work collaboratively across multiple clinical sites
- Must reside within commuting distance of Davie, Florida
- This is not a remote position; on-site presence required
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings as needed
