Pediatric Nurse UC

Job Summary
Conduct pediatric urgent care duties including triage, clinical assessments, and medication administration. Perform point of care testing, collect and label specimens, and document accurately in the Electronic Health Record. Prioritize and categorize patients based on acuity while notifying providers of immediate needs. Administer medications, assist with narcotic counts, stock supplies to maintain clinic flow, and provide discharge teaching. Maintain HIPAA compliance and attend staff meetings to stay updated on policies affecting patient care. Travel to all Urgent Care locations as required, working daytime, evening, weekend, and holiday shifts.
Required Qualifications
- Registered Nurse (RN) license
- BLS-Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider certification
- Bachelor's Degree BSN
- 2+ years experience in a primary care or urgent care setting
- Experience with pediatric patients
- Ability to work with a diverse patient population to promote a culturally competent environment
- Travel to all Urgent Care locations
- Ability to work daytime, evenings, weekend, and holiday hours
- Electronic Health Record proficiency
- Excellent organizational and prioritizing skills
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Analytical skills
- Ability to synthesize multiple sources of information
- Required flexibility in order to prioritize efforts to meet needs of the patients, parents, providers, and other staff
- Ability to work with a diverse patient population to promote a culturally competent environment
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree BSN preferred
- 2+ years experience in a primary care or urgent care setting preferred
- Experience with pediatric patients preferred
- Electronic Health Record proficiency preferred
