Job Summary
Conduct thorough pre-anesthetic evaluations, review medical history and laboratory results, and develop individualized anesthesia care plans for pediatric patients. Administer general, regional, local, and sedation anesthesia while performing spinal, epidural, and peripheral nerve blocks during surgical, therapeutic, diagnostic, and obstetrical procedures. Monitor physiological responses, manage difficult airways, and provide emergency resuscitation as part of the code team. Educate families on the anesthesia process, risks, and post-operative care instructions. Collaborate with surgeons and anesthesiologists to ensure seamless perioperative care and participate in teaching nursing students and residents.
Required Qualifications
- Master's degree in related field
- Registered Nurse licensure
- CRNA certification
- Council on Certification of Nurse Anesthetists certification
- BLS certification
- PALS certification
- ACLS certification
