Job Summary
Review patient records for past medical problems, medication status, allergies, and risk factors. Interview patients or family members to obtain vital statistics and perform laboratory testing while administering vaccines, analgesics, and nebulization treatments. Document and report patient conditions and reactions to treatments, then complete visit documentation. Conduct parent and child education including anticipatory guidance. Follow universal precautions, OSHA standards, and HIPAA regulations to maintain patient confidentiality. Work Monday through Thursday from 1:00 PM to 8:30 PM and Friday from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM. Additional shifts may be available, though listed shifts are required.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Active CMA, RMA, NCMA, or CCMA credential
- At least six (6) months of direct patient care experience as a Medical Assistant
Desired Qualifications
- Experience administering immunizations for pediatric patients
