Job Summary
The Pediatric Infectious Diseases Advanced Practice Provider (APP) specializes in providing evidence-based care to pediatric patients with infectious diseases, working closely with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality clinical care. Responsibilities include conducting patient evaluations, managing inpatient consultations and outpatient clinics, prescribing medications, and participating in quality improvement initiatives. Candidates must have state licensure, a minimum of 2 years relevant experience, and appropriate certifications for either Nursing or Physician Assistant roles. The role offers a salary range between $128,000 and $163,500 and is eligible for various benefits.
Required Qualifications
- Current and/or eligible for State of Illinois licensure/registration
- Minimum of 2 years of relevant work experience in a related job discipline
- National certification as a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner (PNP-AC or PNP-PC) or equivalent for Advanced Practice Nurses
- Current Physician Assistant license/registration in the State of Illinois or eligibility to receive by start date for Physician Assistants
- Certification from the National Commission for the Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA) by start date
Desired Qualifications
- Advanced degree from an accredited school/college of nursing or completion of an accredited Physician Assistant educational program
- 1 year of pediatric clinical experience
- Pediatric infectious diseases experience
