Job Summary
Provide comprehensive critical care to acutely ill pediatric patients in the 6-bed PICU at Good Samaritan University Hospital. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including specialists, nurses, and respiratory therapists to ensure evidence-based patient outcomes. Supervise and train pediatric residents and medical students during critical care rotations while participating in quality improvement, research, and clinical education initiatives. Communicate effectively with families regarding care plans and assist in developing protocols to enhance patient safety. Contribute to hospital-wide pediatric emergency response efforts as a full-time Board-Certified Pediatric Intensivist in a Level II Trauma Center.
Required Qualifications
- Medical Degree (MD or DO) from an accredited institution
- Board Certified/Board Eligible in Pediatric Critical Care Medicine
- Eligible for New York State Medical License
