Job Summary
The Pediatric Hospitalist at Southcentral Foundation (SCF) provides direct clinical customer care and collaborates with clinical staff to establish medical protocols and treatment regimens. Candidates must be licensed as a Physician in Alaska and have BLS certification along with other relevant certifications as required for their specialty. Understanding the cultures and needs of Alaska Native people is essential for achieving SCF's mission of promoting wellness within the community. Native preference applies in hiring, and compliance with employee health screening and immunizations is required.
Required Qualifications
- Licensed as a Physician in the State of Alaska
- Meets all requirements in order to obtain associate medical staff membership and required privileges of service
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- ACLS, NRP, ATLS, ALSO and PALS as required for specialty and any certification relating to the scope of practice as required
Additional Requirements
- Native Preference: Under P.L. 93-638, as amended, the company pursues a policy of Native preference in hiring, contracting, and training
- Compliance with Employee Health Procedure is a condition of SCF employment
- Job-related employee health screening and immunizations required prior to first day of employment
- Documentation of immunizations (MMR, Varicella, Hepatitis B, Influenza, T-dap, COVID-19) required prior to first day of employment
