Job Summary
Join a busy, community-based pediatric hematology-oncology practice at Beacon Children’s Hospital in South Bend, IN. The physician will join a team of two pediatric hematologist-oncologists and a nurse practitioner to care for infants through young adults with blood disorders and cancers. The oncology component serves 30–40 patients in active treatment with a sizable off-therapy population; referrals approach 200 annually and include many sickle cell disease patients. Responsibilities include outpatient clinic coverage, inpatient service with hospitalist support, and shared call among physicians. The program collaborates with regional academic centers and offers opportunities to contribute to clinical program development, education of medical students/residents, and clinical research. The hospital emphasizes a multidisciplinary environment with integration across subspecialties and a strong affiliation with Riley Children’s Health and Indiana University School of Medicine @ Notre Dame. Required Qualifications
- BC/BE Pediatric Hematologist-Oncologist
- Board-certified/board-eligible
- MD or DO degree
- medical licensure in Indiana or eligibility
- ability to participate in clinical education and research
