Job Summary
Pediatric Geneticist to join Inova L.J. Murphy Children’s Hospital’s Division of Medical Genetics in Northern Virginia. The role involves collaboration with clinical geneticists, genetic counselors, APPs, and support staff to provide comprehensive genetic evaluation, diagnostic testing, and ongoing management for pediatric patients with inherited and rare genetic conditions. The position offers a sign-on bonus and relocation assistance, and the hospital provides a broad set of pediatric specialties and services, a strong team-driven environment, and opportunities for physician leadership and academic support.
Required Qualifications
- Education: Doctor of Medicine or Osteopathy from an accredited institution
- Board-eligible or board-certified in Pediatrics and Clinical Medical Genetics
- Current unrestricted license to practice medicine in the State of Virginia
- Payer credentialing: ability to successfully complete credentialing by third-party payors and enroll as a CMS Medicare/Medicaid payor
- Medical staff credentialing: successful completion of credentialing for Medical Staff membership and appropriate clinical privileges sufficient to perform all required services
- Experience: successful completion of pediatric residency program
