Pediatric Epileptologist (MD/DO) - UNC School of Medicine

Pediatric Epileptologist sought to join UNC Department of Neurology for leadership in comprehensive pediatric neurology and epilepsy care. Responsibilities include inpatient general child neurology and epilepsy monitoring unit services, interpretation of routine and advanced EEGs (including stereo-EEG), pre-surgical diagnostic evaluations, outpatient pediatric neurology and epilepsy clinics, and teaching/supervision of residents and fellows. Collaboration with pediatric neurosurgery for surgical planning and familiarity with advanced approaches such as laser interstitial thermal ablation (LITT) and deep brain stimulation (DBS); experience with high-density scalp EEG and stereo-EEG planning is desired. Practice in a Level 4 NAEC-designated epilepsy center within a mature, multidisciplinary epilepsy program with opportunities to shape the program's future direction. Qualifications include MD/DO or equivalent, completion of ACGME-accredited Child Neurology residency and Epilepsy fellowship, licensure or eligibility to practice in North Carolina, and ABPN Board Certification in Child Neurology (Board Certified or Board Eligible in Epilepsy).
