Job Summary
Provide primary health care to pediatric patients within established protocols while diagnosing, treating, and prescribing for physical, mental, or functional ailments. Manage all charting, summaries, correspondence, and paperwork required for care documentation and billing. Engage in physician educational programs regarding capitated medicine, respond to managed care contract requests, and contribute to quality assurance, utilization management, and management information system selection. Assist in developing patient education services, satisfaction surveys, operational and capital budgets, and operational assessments for revenue enhancement and expense reduction. Maintain courteous relationships with management, physicians, patients, and the public while participating in activities that advance the organization's public image.
Required Qualifications
- Master's Degree in Nursing
- Nurse Practitioner Degree Emphasis or Program Certificate equivalent
- South Carolina Official Recognition Nurse Practitioner - NLNP
- Prescriptive Authority South Carolina
- South Carolina Nursing License
- South Carolina Controlled Substance license
- Federal DEA license
