Job Summary
Provide pediatric emergency medicine clinical care in urban and suburban emergency departments, managing an average of 3.5 eight-hour shifts per week with double night coverage. Deliver comprehensive patient management supported by transport teams, nurse practitioners, and specialists, utilizing private exam rooms, trauma suites, bedside ultrasound, and in-suite radiology/CT with 24-hour pediatric radiology coverage. Educate residents, fellows, and medical students while maintaining a collaborative culture aligned with core values of kindness, curiosity, inclusion, and integrity.
Required Qualifications
- board certified/eligible in pediatric emergency medicine (PEM)
- seasonal influenza vaccine
- willingness to be vaccinated if found non-immune to measles, mumps, rubella (MMR) and chicken pox (varicella)
- evidence of tetanus, diphtheria, acellular pertussis (Tdap) vaccination since 2005
- ability to supply immunization records as proof of vaccination
- willingness to discuss medical and/or religious exemptions with Human Resources if concerns exist
