Pediatric ECHO/Cardiac Sonographer III - Part Time

Job Summary
Perform high-quality echocardiographic exams and independently conduct TEE studies on neonates through adults. Collaborate with cardiology staff to diagnose complex congenital and acquired pediatric heart abnormalities while assisting in the technical training of technologists, Pediatric Fellows, and visitors. Manage daily operational maintenance of Echo Lab supplies and equipment, ensuring all items are checked for deficiencies and safe for operation. Demonstrate customer service skills to collaborate with departmental staff and other healthcare professions for high-quality patient care. Engage in quality assurance control on the team while monitoring completion of all departmental, regulatory, and professional training requirements. Requires ARDMS, CCI, or Sonography Canada certification and a minimum of five years' experience with two years in a pediatric environment.
Required Qualifications
- Technical diploma from a school of ultrasound (e.g., Diagnostic Medical Sonography) or a bachelor's degree in biological science
- Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer with the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS)
- Registered Cardiac Sonographer with Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI)
- Registered Congenital Cardiac Sonographer with Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI)
- Canadian Registered Cardiac Sonographer with Sonography Canada
- Minimum of 5 years' experience as an echo sonographer
- Two (2) years in a pediatric environment
