Job Summary
Pediatric Dental Assistant at Affiliated Pediatric Dentistry and Orthodontics responsible for creating a welcoming, education-focused environment for children and parents; assists the dentist during examinations and procedures, provides instruments and materials, ensures infection control, performs coronal polish and digital X-rays, and collaborates on treatment plans. Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; completion of a dental assistant program is preferred.
- DANB x-ray certification.
- Coronal Polish certification (or in process of completing)
- Experience working in a pediatric dental setting is a plus but not required.
- Excellent communication skills, especially with children and parents.
- Empathy, patience, and a genuine interest in helping young patients have positive dental experiences.
- Familiarity with dental software for charting and record-keeping.
- Knowledge of infection control and sterilization procedures.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team and contribute to a positive work environment.
