Pediatric Critical Care Transport Nurse

Provides direct patient care as part of the pediatric critical care transport team, including assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation and evaluation within nursing standards. Educates patients and families on illness/injury management and post-treatment home care, and medication administration. Participates in activities that promote patient safety, quality and regulatory compliance, and in professional development. Develops and documents individualized plans of care with defined goals in collaboration with the interprofessional team and patient/family; proactively plans and communicates the plan of care across the continuum. Uses critical nursing skills to assess and evaluate physical, psychosocial, and emotional needs, considering patient values, cultural and population-specific needs. This is a safety-sensitive position. Requires full-time shifts (12 & 24 hours), on-call duties, and weekend/holiday rotation as required by the department.
