Pediatric Clinical Hematologist

Job Summary
Conduct 70-90% of clinical responsibilities within the Aflac Cancer & Blood Disorders Center and Children's Healthcare of Atlanta, managing both inpatient and outpatient cases primarily at the Arthur M. Blank Hospital and Scottish Rite Children's Hospital. Tailor outpatient focus to general hematology, sickle cell disease, or hemostasis/thrombosis based on program interests. Play a role in the education and training program of the pediatric Hem/Onc/BMT Division by mentoring medical students, residents, fellows, and practicing physicians. Complete remaining effort to support academic interests in basic and translational research across sickle cell, HT, and general hematology. Work in-person at an Emory University location as part of the Emory + Children's Pediatric Institute.
Required Qualifications
- MD, MD/PhD, or DO degrees
- Board Certified/Board Eligible in Pediatric Hematology-Oncology
- currently licensed as a physician and eligible for licensure as a physician in the State of Georgia
- history of clinical excellence/achievement
- 70-90% to clinical responsibilities within the Aflac Cancer and Blood Disorders Center and Children's Healthcare of Atlanta
- inpatient and outpatient responsibilities primarily at the new Arthur M. Blank Hospital but also at Scottish Rite Children's Hospital
- role in the education and training program of the pediatric Hem/Onc/BMT Division, including involvement with medical students, residents, fellows, and occasionally physicians in practice
- Position tasks are required to be performed in-person at an Emory University location; working remote is not an option
