Pediatric Cardiovascular Sonographer (Full-time, Rotating Shift)

Job Summary
Perform M-Mode, 2-D procedures, and Doppler echo analysis on adult, pediatric, and neonate patients while documenting all required data. Execute peripheral vascular procedures including arterial and venous Doppler, segmental pressures, and carotid ultrasound. Conduct tilt table exams, treadmill stress tests, 24-hour holters, and pharmacological studies. Maintain current knowledge of cardiovascular techniques and equipment. Precept new staff and mentor colleagues as needed. Requires Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Ultrasonographer (RDCS), Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT), and Pediatric Echocardiography (PE) certification, plus Basic Life Support (BLS). Full-time rotating shift. Adventist Health Sierra Vista, a Level III NICU and trauma center on the Central California Coast, offers coastal living near Avila and Pismo Beach.
Required Qualifications
- Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Ultrasonographer (RDCS)
- Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT)
- Pediatric Echocardiography (PE)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from approved vendor per AH policy
- Registered Cardiac Sonographer (CCI-RCS) Certification or Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS)
- Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT) or CCI Registered Vascular Specialist (CCI RVS)
- ARDMS-PE or CCI-RCCS
- All required vaccinations as a condition of employment and annually thereafter, where applicable
Desired Qualifications
- Two years experience as a cardiac ultrasound sonographer and/or completion of a one year certified cardiac ultrasound course
- Two years experience as a vascular sonographer and/or completed a certified vascular sonographer course
- Two years experience as a pediatric cardiac sonographer and/or completed a certified pediatric sonography course
- One years' experience as a Fetal ECHO sonographer and/or completed a certified Fetal ECHO sonography course
- Fetal Echocardiography (FE)
