Pediatric Cardiovascular Radiology Technologist

Job Summary
Assist physicians during complex cardiac and EP procedures by operating fluoroscopy and ultrasonography equipment, circulating in the procedure room, and scrubbing to perform interventions. Accurately obtain x-rays, operate automatic injectors, and select contrast agents under physician direction while preparing patients and supplies under sterile conditions. Maintain and troubleshoot imaging equipment, documenting malfunctions and coordinating borrowing across departments. Work independently on call with physicians and nurses to support emergent and urgent cases, requiring a 30-minute call-back radius to OHSU Marquam Hill campus. This role involves cross-training across Cath Lab, EP, Hybrid OR, and four procedure labs within a fast-paced, 24/7 surgical environment.
Required Qualifications
- Two years of experience in the operation of radiologic equipment or an equivalent combination of specialized training and experience
- Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program
- Registration with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists
- A valid Diagnostic Radiologic Technologist license issued by the Oregon Board of Medical Imaging
- BLS certificate within 30 days of hire or prior to independent practice, whichever comes first
- Current Oregon Board of Medical Imaging (OBMI) temporary license for student hires and permanent license for registered hires
- Must have the ability to change work location based upon procedure volumes and staffing needs
- Must live in a 30-minute call back radius to OHSU Marquam Hill campus for emergent/urgent afterhours on call activations
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree preferred
- Pediatrics experience preferred
- Cardiac Interventional and/or Vascular Interventional certification from ASRT (RCES or RCIS preferred)
- EP/Cath Lab technologist knowledge, skills, and abilities
