Pediatric Cardiovascular Radiology Technologist

Job Summary
Assist physicians during complex pediatric cardiac procedures by operating fluoroscopy and ultrasonography equipment, circulating in the procedure room, and scrubbing to perform tasks like threading stents and balloons. Accurately obtain x-rays, operate automatic injectors to select contrast agents, and prepare patients and supplies under sterile conditions. Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to provide patient care during examinations while independently managing equipment maintenance, troubleshooting malfunctions, and coordinating borrowing requests. Work on-call seven days a week with physicians and nurses to support urgent and emergent interventions across Cath Lab, EP, and Hybrid OR suites.
Required Qualifications
- Two years of experience in the operation of radiologic equipment or an equivalent combination of specialized training and experience
- Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program
- Registration with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists
- A valid Diagnostic Radiologic Technologist license issued by the Oregon Board of Medical Imaging
- BLS certificate within 30 days of hire or prior to independent practice, whichever comes first
- Current Oregon Board of Medical Imaging (OBMI) temporary license for student hires and permanent license for registered hires
- Must have the ability to change work location based upon procedure volumes and staffing needs
- Must live in a 30-minute call back radius to OHSU Marquam Hill campus for emergent/urgent afterhours on call activations
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree preferred
- Pediatrics experience preferred
- Cardiac Interventional and/or Vascular Interventional certification from ASRT (RCES or RCIS preferred)
- EP/Cath Lab technologist knowledge, skills, and abilities
